Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Kimberly Holmes can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Kimberly Gaye Holmes, 56, of Flint Hill, passed away February 25, 2016 at the Gainesville Health and Rehabilitation Center after a battle with cancer .

Born September 4, 1959 in Washington, DC, she was the daughter of William and Margaret Timmons.

Mrs. Holmes was preceded in death in 2009 by one daughter, Shayla Mitchell. Survivors include two daughters, Darla Hopkins and her husband John of Manassas; Miranda Baker and her husband Andrew of Flint Hill ; one sister, Pam Jennings and her husband Mike of Springfield; one brother, Sam Timmons and his wife Michele of Purcellville; 6 grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. A celebration of Kimberly’s life will take place at 1:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Todd Tennant officiating.

Private interment will take place in Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas, VA.

Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the American Cancer Society or Still Brave (stillbrave.com).

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, under the direction of Michael Post.
