Obituary for Leroy Kiser

Leroy  Kiser
On August 8th, 2014, after a long courageous battle with cancer, God in His infinite wisdom, called Leroy Kiser to eternal rest. Born to the late Roby and Lillian Kiser on February 26, 1947, Leroy lived most of his life in the Manassas area. He was an avid sports fan and especially loved the Redskins. He was also a Nascar enthusiast. He loved yard sales, friends and family, good food and his little dog, Missy.
Leroy leaves behind to grieve and mourn his passing, his companion and caregiver of 30 years, Evelyn (Peggy) Ambrose. In addition, he leaves a son, Wayne Kiser, two brothers, James Kiser and companion, Mary Miles, Larry Kiser and wife, Pam, 3 sisters, Juanita Elder, Merita Parks and husband David, Zelma Dorman and husband Ronald. He also leaves a brother-in-law, Thomas Johnson and wife Judy. Survivors also include his companions children, Eve Baker and husband Clayton, Woody Ambrose, Michael Ambrose and wife Heather; his companions grandchildren, Erin, Kevin, Daniel, Matthew, Christopher, Brittany, Michael, Haley and Cierra and 5 great-grandchildren.
Belonging to a large family, Leroy leaves numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He will greatly be missed by all.
Leroy was preceded in death by three sisters, Barbara Dockery, Stella Johnson, Jean Glennan and a brother, Roby Kiser, Jr.
A special thanks to Dr. Jin S. Lim, Dr. Robert Marsh, Dr. John Pare and nurses, Aleta Dorm and Kim Williams, for their compassionate care of Leroy. Also, for the loving compassionate care from Evelyn Ambrose throughout Leroy’s illness.
The family’s hearts are grateful for all of the prayers from family and friends.
Leroy will receive his healing. It will be in Gods timing.
The family will receive friends on Monday, August 11, 2014 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow in Sudley United Methodist Church Cemetery.
