Obituary for Linda Marie Koester

Linda Marie  Koester
Linda Marie Koester, 70, of Manassas, passed away November 29, 2018 surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 31, 1948 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Clyde Jenkins and Elizabeth Flynn Jenkins.

Ms. Koester has been a lifelong resident of the Manassas area, where she has been a member of the Lake Jackson Volunteer Fire Dept. auxiliary and Tabernacle Baptist Church for more than 32 years. She was also the office manager at Jobin Realty in Manassas for over 18 years. Linda dedicated her life to her family, friends and her faith in god.

Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Sebastian Jenkins and Sherri Corbin. Survivors include her four children, Karen Jenkins of Manassas; Kirk Jenkins also of Manassas; Kris Smith and his wife Angelya of New Jersey; Kristy Smith and her Fiancé Jim Hartnett of Manassas; 6 grandchildren; Amanda, Sarah, Linda, Logan, Mackenzie and Aidan; four great-grandchildren; Hailey, Kayla, Mason and Mariah; one sister, Brenda Sweeney of Michigan; and one brother, Daniel Jenkins and his wife Sylvia of Colorado Springs, CO.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road Manassas. A celebration of Linda’s life will begin at 4:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eugene Zorbas officiating.

A reception will be held immediately following the services at the Lake Jackson Volunteer Fire Dept. 11310 Coles Drive, Manassas, VA 20112.

Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the Tabernacle Baptist Church, 8275 Barrett Drive, Manassas, VA 20109.
