Obituary for Louis Anthony Masturzo

Louis Anthony Masturzo
Louis A. (Lou) Masturzo, a loving and devoted husband, father, grand-father, brother and uncle passed away peacefully on February 14, 2020 in Manassas, VA at the age of 77.

Lou was born in Philadelphia, PA to Emanuel and Mary Masturzo on June 12, 1942, one of 6 children. In 1960 Lou joined the US Navy, where he proudly served in multiple missions before receiving an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and leaving service in 1963. Then in 1964 Lou met the love of his life, Vicky and the two were married in 1965 and they built a wonderful life together. Soon after marrying, Lou and Vicky started a family and in 1966 they welcomed their first daughter, Michelle. Two years later they welcomed Diane and 10 years after they welcomed Jeanene. During that time Lou graduated from Saint Joseph’s College in Philadelphia, earning his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering, and began his career with General Electric.

In 1974 Lou, Vicky and their family relocated to Northern Virginia where they put down roots and raised their family. If you knew Lou at all, you knew family was his first priority and he devoted as much time with his own daughters and family as he could. In 1993 Lou and Vicky welcomed their first Granddaughter and his world was forever changed, followed by 5 more grandchildren between 1999 and 2004. Lou lived life to the fullest and his grandchildren were truly the light of his life. Sometimes he got in a bit of trouble because he would spoil them, but they were the most important thing to him and he made sure all of them knew how special they were and how much they meant to him.

Lou is survived by his wife Vicky, 3 daughters (Michelle, Diane and Jeanene), 3 sisters (Felicia, Rita and Rosemary) and 6 Grandchildren. He was proceeded in in death by his Parents (Emanuel and Mary) as well as brothers Joseph and Vincent.

The family will receive visitors on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, Virginia. A mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, February 25, 2020 beginning at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, 9300 Stonewall Road, Manassas, Virginia.

Interment will immediately follow at Quantico National Cemetery.
