Obituary for Margaret H. Rexrode

Margaret H.  Rexrode
Margaret Harold Rexrode passed away, December 19, 2014 peacefully at her home in Nokesville, Virginia.
Ms. Rexrode was born November 27, 1927, in Highland County, Virginia; a daughter of the late Charles Roscoe and Daisy Enid (Hull) Harold.

She married Warren Rexrode, also from Highland County and spent her life as a loving mother and housewife. She raised six children and devoted her life to her children’s activities. She loved gardening, birds, and flowers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her late husband, Warren Rexrode and her youngest son, Joseph Rexrode; three sisters, Jo Hess, Mamie Eagle, and Jean Harmon; three brothers, Leo G. Harold, Jack H. Herold, and Warren G. (Mike) Herald.

Survivors include five children: Donna Trammell of Nokesville, VA, Brenda Zelibor of Fairfax, VA, Ricky Rexrode and his wife Karen of Aldie, VA, Barbara Rexrode and her husband Wes of Johns Island, SC, and Amy Long and her husband Charles of Manassas, VA, as well as ten grandchildren: Katherine Trammell, Shannon Fox and her husband Mick, Joseph Zelibor and his wife Yi, Jason Zelibor, Allison Long, Chase Long, Rebecca Ryan and her husband Shaun, Danny Rexrode, Cody Rexrode, and Travis Rexrode; nine great grandchildren: Ciara Trammell, Connor O’Brien, Kai O’Brien, Taylor Snyder, Olivia Fox, Sophia Fox, Ava Fox and Felicity and Quinn Ryan; and two siblings: Charles R. Harold Jr. of Fredericksburg; and Sue Puffenbarger of Hightown.

The family will receive friends Sunday, December 28th from 2-4 at the Baker-Post Funeral Home in Manassas, Virginia.

Funeral services will be conducted December 29th at 11:00 at Oakton Methodist Church with a burial service afterward at 1:00 at National Memorial Cemetery in Falls Church, VA. A reception to follow at her daughter, Donna’s home – 14205 Vint Hill Road, Nokesville, VA.

Mom never asked for much and appreciated family and friends. In that spirit, we would ask that if you prefer not to send flowers, that you make a donation to a charity that is important to you, in her memory. She would be honored.
