Obituary for Mark Alan Watterson

Mark Alan Watterson of Manassas, Virginia, departed this life on Monday, August 25, 2014.

Mark was born in Pennsylvania on December 18, 1962. He was extremely kind, funny, generous, fun, giving soul, family man and involved in the community.

Mark proudly served the United States Marine Corps. He also enjoyed his work as a PKI engineer. Mark loved riding his motorcycle, spending quality time with his family and friends and loved watching his Pittsburg Steelers play on Sundays.

He is survived by his wife, Deborah Watterson; his children, Ashley Koch (Watterson) and her spouse Jeffrey Koch, Bryce Watterson and Aeriel Watterson; his grandchildren, Zachariah Koch, Noah Koch and Elijah Koch; his parents, Mary Anne Watterson and Jerry Watterson; siblings, David Watterson, Jerry Lee and Sandy Watterson; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A memorial service will be held at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA on Sunday, August 31, 2014 from 2 to 4 p.m.

Interment will be at Quantico National Cemetery on Thursday, September 4, 2014 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Mark’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and Semper Fi Foundation.
