Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Melita Christensen can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Condolence: How very much I wish I could have been there today for my beloved second mom Gen! I will never forget all that she and her husband Jack did for me.
I have known them since I was 3 years old...so that's 74 years ago when we met! They rescued me after my mother passed away. They saved me from my abusive alcoholic father and took me into their home when I was 16 years of age. They are responsible for leading me to Jesus Christ. They encouraged me to use my writing and singing talents. Both Gen and Jack who predeceased her have touched many lives. They considered themselves grandparents of my sons Ernest and John. Gen and Jack's legacy of giving, loving and sharing will live on through those they leave behind. I know they are enjoying an incredible reunion in heaven with each other and their loved ones who predeceased them. I am looking forward to seeing them again in heaven one day. Thank you Gen for all you did for me. I will never forget you!

We are so sorry for the loss of Gen. Although we knew this day would come, not being able to visit with Gen today or next week is very hard. You clearly demonstrated your love for Gen while she lived on this earth with us. She often told me how proud she was of you and your entire family. She loved you here, and she loves you in heaven. Today, Gen and Jack are reunited in heaven. They are joyful.
