Obituary for Michael Cecil Mullins Jr.
Michael Cecil Mullins, Jr. (Mike), age 59, of Stephens City, VA was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. after a strong and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born on January 25, 1955 in Clintwood, VA. He was the son of Cecil Mullins and the late Reba Joyce Mullins. Besides his Mother, he was preceded in death by his Sister, Eletta Jean Meadows, and a granddaughter, Kylie Lynn Mullins.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Teresa Mullins; his son, Jason Mullins; his daughter, Jessica Mullins; his son, Michael Mullins and 2 grandchildren, Brandon and Ava Mullins. He is survived by his sisters, Elinda Brown, Robin Dye, Sonya Johnson, Selina Vance and Edye Gilbert as well as numerous nephews & nieces.
He was a 1973 Graduate of Herndon High School. He was employed by Quest Diagnostic Laboratory in Chantilly, VA for the last 23 years.
Mike will be spending Christmas and eternity in Heaven with his Mother, Sister and granddaughter and reunited with other family members as well.
Family will receive friends on December 12, 2014 from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm in the Baker-Post Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Rd. Manassas, VA 20110. A Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel at 12:30 pm with Pastor Don Cherry officiating.
Interment will take place in Stonewall Memory Gardens at 2:00 pm with a reception to follow in the Baker-Post Community Room.
