Norma Mariannina  Lettmann
Norma Mariannina Antonini Lettmann, passed away peacefully at her home in Gainesville, VA, surrounded by family on March 21, 2023. Born on June 12, 1948, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, to immigrant parents Pasquale and Elisa (Marcotullio) Antonini, she attended Redstone High School in Republic, Pa. Following her graduation in 1966, she began a career with the United States Information Agency in Washington, D.C. After the birth of her sons, she returned to work for the Engineering Topographic Laboratories in Alexandria, Virginia, where she worked as a management analyst until her retirement. Her government service spanned 30 years. For over thirty years, she resided in Dale City, Virginia, where she raised her family. Upon retiring, she moved to the Heritage Hunt community in Gainesville, Virginia, where she enjoyed her home, community, friends, traveling and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers. She was a loving Mother and devoted Nonna and was happiest spending time with her family.

She leaves behind two sons: Robert W. Lettmann (Kandice), Mark J. Lettmann (Jennifer), her cherished grandson Brennen Antonini Lettmann, her loving sister Loretta Antonini Phillips (Robert), her sister-in-law Brenda Brezovsky Antonini, and two cherished nieces Raylene and Lisa Antonini. She is also survived by a host of cousins in Italy, Canada and the U.S. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Italo Antonini and her nephew, Anthony Joseph Antonini.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 29, 2023, 10:30 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 8213 Linton Hall Road, Gainesville, Virginia. Interment will be at Greene County Memorial Gardens in Waynesburg, Pa., next to her parents, brother and nephew. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
