Condolence From: David Sliger
Condolence: Ossie had a way of expressing herself that attracted people to her...that made her so likable to others. Recently one care-worker, with a smile on her face, said that "everyone here thinks that she is so sweet!" I found that same type of response wherever she would go, be it grocery store or doctors' office.
And she was able to find humor and stay positive even when facing serious health issues...sometimes surprising her doctors with her joking banter.
When she would reminisce about her past it was often in complete detail, even to quoting entire conversations of all involved...but unfortunately there were too often sad memories about her childhood and young adulthood that never failed to garner my sympathy.
But when all is said and done I feel that, because of our friendship, I am a better person than I would have otherwise been and I'll always be grateful to her for having shared with me a part of her life.
