Giles "Smokey" and Sherry Combs
We were blessed to get to know Ralph when our daughter Whiney married his great nephew Josh Marshall. We heard lots of wonderful stories about him, it was very apparent Josh not only loved him but he looked up to him!! When we actually met him during the wedding we understood why, Josh felt the way he did because Ralph also felt the same kind of love for Josh!! Ralph was best man at the wedding and I think almost everyone there was brought to tears during his toast that evening. I was blessed to have spent some time with he and Pat just days before his death and I will never forget those few hours of conversion and fellowship it was wonderful!! Mine and Smokey's prayers go out to this family during these very trying times, may God give you peace as only he can!!!

Still in disbelief that Uncle Ralph is gone. So many memories come flooding back....from his stories of high school days with my mom to sharing stories and dinner at Pap and Nan's. Always loved his visits. Love and prayers to the kids, grand kids, brothers, and other loved ones left behind.

In life there are those we remember because of who they were as well as their friendship and happiness shared with others. Ralph was one of these persons and I am glad to remember him that way! I pray that everyone's loss will last as wonderful memories of our past, I know I will! God be with you, the family members of this good man may he hold you in his hand and give you joy for a life well lived.
