Obituary for Reed Kenneth Harney

Reed Kenneth Harney
Reed Kenneth Harney, age 67, of Fairfax Station, Virginia, passed away quietly March 27th, 2021 at Prince WIlliam Hospital.

He is survived by his brother, James Pritchard Jr., cousins Scott Fagan, Brian Fagan, Charel Bowman, Pam Baker-Harding, Jan Baker-Malay, nieces Auria and Ilara Pritchard, 2nd cousins Mark and Brad Fagan, Kent and Cynthia Fagan, Tessa Bowman, Garrin and Kyla Francis, and Bobby McCleery.

He was preceded in death by his father James Harney, and his stepfather and mother, Phil and Charlotte Pritchard.

He had a long and prosperous career as a teacher and engineer. He travelled abroad after he retired and had many adventures! We will always remember the incendiary wit and vibrant spirit he had. Although he spent a majority of his career as an engineer, his true love was math and he was a teacher to us all while he was with us. He would discuss Math with us and make it interesting! He was an avid Buckeye fan while home or wherever he was living and was always seen in OSU gear and a red hat whenever possible!

We will miss him always. We will miss his spirit and love. Rest in Peace from all your family.
