Robert Glen  Walker
Robert Glenn Walker, 87, of Nokesville, died June 5, 2014 at the Novant Health – Prince William Medical Center.
Mr. Walker was born January 19, 1927 in Somerset, PA. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army November 20, 1946 and he received the Army of Occupation Medal and the WWII Victory medal. After serving in the Army, he went to school to be a body and fender mechanic. He was employed by H.B. Lantzsch in Fairfax, VA retiring in 1996.

Robert enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, and spending time with his family; reading his comic
s and watching his favorite T.V. shows, and feeding the squirrels and birds and caring for his ducks.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Perry and Theresa Walker; his first wife Helen Walker; his second wife Delores M. Walker; one son, Michael Miller; one brother, Clarence Walker, Sr., and one sister, Dorothy M. Walker Dougherty. Survivors include his four daughters, Terry Walker of Warrenton; Sharon Bryant of Nokesville; Karen Walker of Nokesville; Mary Carney of Nashville, TN; three sons, Glenn Walker of Nokesville; Richard Berkley of Culpeper; and Charles Miller of Rutland, VT; eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; six brothers; and three sisters.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 12, 2014 from 6-7 p.m. at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas. A celebration of Robert’s life will begin at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with The Rev. Dr. Wayne Ralston officiating.

Memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to the American Heart Association or to the Wounded Warrior Project.
