Obituary for Robin Louise Abruzere Lynch

Robin Louise Abruzere Lynch
ROBIN LOUISE ABRUZERE LYNCH

Departed this life on April 14, 2023, and went home to be with the Lord. Born August 5, 1963, in Warrenton, Virginia, she was the first of three daughters of Marjorie L. Abruzere, deceased, and Ralph F. Abruzere, of Manassas, VA, who survives her. She was 59.

With this bittersweet homegoing she leaves behind her caring husband of 22 years, Thomas D. Lynch, Jr. of Manassas, VA, and their son, Thomas John Francis Lynch, age 20 of the home. In addition, she is survived by many grieving family members, including her father, Ralph F. Abruzere, two younger sisters, Kelly L. Abruzere Easterly (Douglas), of Woodbridge, and Tracy A. Abruzere-Price (David), Kelly’s children, Ryan Francis Easterly, deceased, his children, Nixon Francis Easterly and Ryan Samuel Easterly, Madelyn Easterly, daughter in-law, Tyler Eric Easterly, and Morgan Sierra Easterly. Tracy’s children, Robin-Michelle Price, her children, Sarah Grace Cadence Andrews, Austin Frances Price, Andrew Edward Price and his son, Roran Edward Price and numerous cousins, friends, and coworkers. Robin loved that her family was both large and closeknit.

Robin fought a lengthy and valiant battle against cancer for some six years with incredible strength, optimism, fortitude, grace, and above all, faith. Despite the ups and downs of her treatment she never lost her sense of humor and was best at turning the situation around. Through it all, made sure she kept her family and friends on her own prayer list. She prayed for every doctor, nurse, hospital staff member and anyone else that assisted her through her illness. She will be remembered for her smile through it all, her endless faith and for being an incredibly strong, fierce fighter. If one word were to describe her, it would be “selfless.” She will be sorely missed by many.

She was a graduate of the International School in New Delhi, India, as the family was stationed there, her father being an employee of the U.S. State Department. She later graduated from Radford University in Virginia and in her early career worked on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. for Batelle, a science and technology non-profit company.
