Sandra M. “Sandie” Munday, 49, of Morrisville, died September 5, 2007 at her home after a long illness.

Born November 9, 1957 in Manassas, VA, she was the daughter of Clarence and Lillian MacMillan Sweeney.

On November 7, 1984 in Manassas, she married James W. Munday, who survives.

Sandie was a 1977 graduate of Osbourn Park High School, and was a pre-school teacher at the Fauquier Child Development Center in Bealeton.

Mrs. Munday was preceded in death by her father, Clarence Sweeney, and one brother, Melvin Sweeney. Besides her loving husband of almost 23 years, James, and her mother Lillian of Manassas, Sandie is survived by her two daughters, Jamie M. Munday and her fiancé Hector Sigla-Cruz of Jacksonville, N.C.; Mackie Munday of Morrisville; two step-daughters, Tammy L. Munday and Teresa J. Munday of Ocklawaha, FL; two sisters, Barbara Holmes of Warrenton; Peggy Fletcher of Manassas; seven brothers, Tommy Sweeney of Bealeton; Ronnie Sweeney of Manassas; Ernie Sweeney of Boston, VA; David Sweeney of Stafford; Kenny Sweeney of Manassas; Claude Sweeney of Garrisonville; Raymond Rock of Pennsylvania; and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside and interment services will be held on Saturday, September 8th, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Stonewall Memory Gardens, 12004 Lee Highway, Manassas.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may take the form of a donation to Hospice of The Rapidan Incorporated, 1200 Sunset Lane, Suite 2320, Culpeper, VA 22701.
