Obituary for Timothy Charles Flewellyn
Tim Flewellyn, age 58, passed away on August 23, 2019 after a 20-month battle with ALS.
Tim was a loving, devoted husband to his wife, Donna, and very proud and dedicated father/stepfather of 9: Gillian (Jeff), Geneva (Phillip), Jake, Mavic; Jayme (Theresa), Brandon (Angela), Kelly (Ruslan), Cara, Kyle; and grandfather of 16: Liam, Logan, Lulu, Madison, Owen, Emma, Oliver, Isla-Kate, Maxon, Lily, Quinn, Luca, Everleigh, PJ, Lucy, and soon to be born Baby Boy Thaxton. He was a loving son to Kay Flewellyn (Father Craig deceased) and a beloved brother of 5: Greg, Jeff (Jalea), Debbie (Craig), Laurie (Tom) Lisa (Todd). Tim’s family, extended family, and countless friends were the greatest joy of his life.
Tim was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, cycling, camping and anything else that allowed him to be outdoors and enjoy nature. Tim’s passion in life was to be generous and kind, taking care of anyone and everyone he met.
In lieu of flowers, Tim’s family asks that you either make a donation to “Team Flewellyn” for the ALS Association 2019 Walk, or in the spirit with which Tim lived his life, help to spread his legacy by going out into the world and performing a generous, Random Act of Kindness and say, “That was for Tim.”
In honor of Tim’s wishes and favorite pastime, there will be a Celebratory BBQ on August 31st at 20251 Greggsville Road, Philomont, VA 20131. Stop by anytime between 4 and 7 pm to enjoy some good food and share memories and stories of how Tim made a difference in your life. Please wear casual BBQ attire and bring a photo to go along with your favorite memory of Tim.
