Obituary for Todd Brown Ehardt

Todd Brown Ehardt
Todd Brown Ehardt, age 24, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, August 25, 2023, in Manassas, VA.

Todd was born September 1, 1998, in Fairfax, VA, the son of George Ehardt and Karrie Mautone Ehardt. Todd was a loving son and brother, known for his sense of humor, love of sports, cars, his favorite color purple, and his ability to build anything. He was affectionately called “Bob the Builder” as a child. He grew up playing basketball and baseball competitively until embarking on a journey in the family construction business under the tutelage of his father, at the ripe age of 17, starting as an Assistant Construction Superintendent.

He graduated from Battlefield High School, Class of 2016, and worked as a full-time employee of E Construction Group with his dad, uncles, brother, and cousins. Todd moved on to other construction companies eventually returning to his brother’s side once more at May Construction.

Todd was known for being a caring and compassionate person who tried to help others, often giving assistance to the homeless and always willing to stand up for the less fortunate. He loved his family and cared about his friends. His girlfriend Ebony always said he had the ability to make anyone feel special in their greatest time of need. He showed love even on his worst days.

He tossed footballs on the beach with his little sister Erica and attended her soccer games; he was her biggest fan. He enjoyed talking sports and fishing with his dad. He enjoyed special talks and big hugs with his mom. He admired his big brother Sean, and at one time, they were inseparable: playing together, living together, working together, enjoying sports cars together. He adored his sister April and was a very protective big brother; they were best friends. He shared special moments with his uncle Brian praying and reading scripture, singing, telling jokes, and playing golf. Todd also enjoyed going to the driving range with his grandfather Dominic. He loved his Aunt Autumn’s fried chicken and his grandfather’s Italian Christmas feast. Family gatherings are always filled with laughter and love.

Todd was preceded in death by his Great-grandmothers Helen Naylor, Margaret Dalsky, and Elsie Wright; grandfathers Donald Brown Wright, Dominic Mautone, and Joe Milton.

He is survived by his loving parents, Karrie and George Ehardt of Myrtle Beach, SC; siblings, Sean (Yariana Santos) April, and Erica Ehardt; grandmothers Margaret Dalsky Wright of Manton, MI and Kathryn Naylor Milton of Winchester, VA; aunts, Cathy (Ken) Divich, Pamela (Dick) Ehardt Scavongelli, Pamela Lynn Wright Wilder, Melonie (Wesley) Reid, Jeanie Necessary, Cynthia Youngs, and Autumn Williams-Bess; uncles, Brian (Roxanne) Ehardt, Robert (Sharon) Ehardt, Troy Ehardt, Dale Wright, Shenandoah (Marie) Wright, Donald Brown Wright Jr., David (Aimee) Mautone, Tim and Mike (Janice) Fagan, and a host of great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life; details will be forthcoming with date, time, and location. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a local food pantry or homeless shelter of your choice in the name of Todd Brown Ehardt.
