Mary Rita Page, age 59, passed away Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Prince William Medical Center.

Born on December 17, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Vincent Eberling, Sr. and Mary Rita Childs.

Rita was an active member of the Northern Virginia Swim League (NVSL) Her participation in the NVSL spanned more than thirty years and the Potomac Valley Swimming for a lesser time where she was an officials' certification officer. She participated in every level of Swim officiating. She created the Newington Forest Swim Team and for a time was its Team Representative. She was a major contributor to the creation and continued development of the Rules Handbook. For a time she was an officer on the league's Board of Directors. She was extremely proud of her three children's swimming achievements. She was equally proud of her role in getting young people started in competitive swimming.

She is survived by her significant other of 20 years, John Stanton; three children, Melanie Eberling of Sterling, VA, Jonathan Page (Maria) and Allison Fink (Chris), both of Centreville, VA; two stepchildren, David Page (Karen) of Huntington, NY, and Carolyn Moffatt ( Page ) of Richmond, VA; sister, Pattie McNeal; brothers, Deacon Vincent, Jr. (Teresa) ,Bill (Tricia), Jimmy, and Charles; 3 Grandchildren and 5 step-grandchildren.
The family will receive visitors on Saturday, October 3, 2015, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. at Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas, VA. A memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Deacon Vincent Eberling, Jr. officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, or charity of your choice.
