Lots of memories, too many to post, but this one sticks out.
I was visiting my Mom in Venice Florida, probably 15-20 years ago. Her and her friends had been taking golf lessons at her club and they had only one class left, She coaxed me into going with her "just for fun"...so I reluctlantly went. Well, it wasn't really a lesson, the golf pro was videoing everyone so that they could see what they were doing right or wrong. They told me to go ahead and take a turn, we each got 3 balls to hit, well wouldn't you know, I really connected and drove those balls perfectly, they thought I was "a ringer", Take into consideration that I was probably 30-40 years younger than most of the class. Mom and I cracked up, we were shocked that I did so good. I think she was really proud that day. She was always pretty athletic so maybe that is where I got it from. She liked to win and once she started playing golf, in her 40's, with my Dad, I am thinking she would beat him constantly.
