The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Stephen Mitchell can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Memories

Stephen, we have known each other from childhood-I remember my mom and dad playing Santa Claus and driving to everyone's house to exchange presents, Christmas was always a good time of year to get together!

Then, as young adults, you kept in touch with me. When you found out about Russ going to Vietnam, you called us, your experience already, and fortitude gave Russ the encouragement to leave. Your pep talks to me helped, every little bit helped, just talking to you. I kept my short term calendar, and was so happy both you and Russ made it home safe.

You have always been our Guiding Light, you still are, I look up at the sky at night and see all my family, and say my prayers. You will always be in my heart. I know I've already said 'Thank you Stephen', but I need to say it again...you were such a good cousin, brave and thoughtful man, "THANK YOU STEPHEN". You have done more than you realize.
