Erin was my daughters Language Arts teacher this year at TNS. My daughter IMMEDIATELY took to Mrs.Scanlon, thought of her as her “school mom”. She knew Mrs.Scanlon cared about her not just as a student, but as a person. One of the first weeks of school, she told me, while riding in the car, “now these teachers don’t even bother to look at you, they just yell AT you, except Mrs. Scanlon, she looks AT ME, she listens TO me, I feel like she really cares.” September 2021 was a crazy time for schools, teachers, and students, but Mrs. Scanlon made all the difference to my girl! I’m not exaggerating one bit, when I say, having Mrs. Scanlon 1st period was the only reason my girl wanted to go to school some days. She would set the tone of the day for my daughter, and it was always GOOD! I can not begin to imagine how much more of a blessing Erin was to her husband, kids, and family. My daughter is better for having known your Erin. Thank you for sharing her. May God bless and comfort each of you. May you continue to share who Erin was with everyone you meet. With my deepest sympathies, Melissa Reedy
