Obituary for Neil Lawrence Savitch

Neil Lawrence Savitch
Neil Lawrence Savitch, 71, of Dumfries, passed away December 21, 2020 at the Sentara Northern Virginia Medical Center, Woodbridge, VA.

Born December 20, 1949 in Wilmington, DE, he was the son of the late Donald Savitch and Elsie Berman Savitch. On June 20, 2004, during a Medieval themed Wedding
at Cloisters Castle, MD, he married the former Andrea Ellen Sharkey, who survives.

Neil had a love of theater and took every opportunity to dress in costume. He was a successful manufacturer’s rep in commercial waterproofing and concrete materials. He won top performance and highest sales awards from almost every company he has represented. He was known for ensuring his clients got the best service and products, his reason for success. This passion led to him to being president of two chapters of ICRI, which works to educate members of the industry.

He is survived by his loving wife Andrea; two sons, Brian and his partner Farah, and grandson August; and Sean and his wife Aileen; siblings Scot, Alison and Jon and their extended families. As we blended families, he added daughter Rachel; sons Joshua and his wife Hannah, and grandson Stone; and Jeremy and his wife Jackie, and grandson Orion.

A private service of remembrance will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 10001 Nokesville Road, Manassas with Rabbi Elizabeth “Lizz” Goldstein officiating.

In lieu of flowers, if anyone wishes to honor Neil, a donation to the American Cancer Society would have pleased him.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Baker-Post Funeral Home & Cremation Center under the direction of Michael Post. Please sign the guestbook at www.bakerpostfh.com.
