The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Richard Claypool can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Good Memories

There are many good memories Tom and I have of Dick over the many years we knew him.  Some of those were are the Sigma Chi house at George Washington University.  Dick was always fun at parties, and he was a terrific dancer!  After Dick and Elaine were married, it was by chance that they moved next door to my parents in Arlington, Virginia, so we were fortunate to see them often!  Many good times were spent with Dick and Elaine when we were young married couples...having dinner and playing bridge together in our first homes.  We've kept in touch for about 60 years now and send our heartfelt sympathy to Elaine, Glen and Greg in their loss.  With love, Marby and Tom Varley
