Larry, my Halloween buddy!

Larry and I worked together at Bodies in Motion for 10+ years. I often referred to him as the energizer bunny because he was always so full of spunk and energy. He had one liners for just about every occasion. He was always so generous with his co-workers, talking extra special care to thank our front desk admin team with thoughtful gifts. One year, he even hosted the admin team at his home at Christmas time. He and Kandi put out a lovely spread of food and we all enjoyed the overwhelming display of Christmas decorations. It was like visiting a Christmas Museum. Larry & I shared another special love of Halloween. At work, he would often bring me special Halloween decorations because he knew I threw a Halloween party at my house every year. My Birthday is also in October, and on my 50th birthday, he made sure to go all out! Not only did he (probably Kandi) make one of my favorite pumpkin gingerbread Trifles, but he had the entire break room decorated with animated Halloween props, lights the whole bit! It was amazing. Larry loved to play golf with my husband, Big Al. He would try so hard to get Al to drive out to Haymarket, despite my many warnings that Al only did what was convenient for Al. Larry and I also loved to make fun of the outfits that Al would wear on the golf course too. Despite our fashion advice, Al would still show up looking like a he was there to cut the grass. Poor Larry, I can imagine his embarrassment. But they seemed to have a lot of fun, breaking all the typical golfing protocol, listening to oldies music on the course and just having a ball. Man, am I gonna miss so many Larry moments. He just had a way of making everyone feel special. He used to call me the Lean, Mean, Office Manager Machine He would always try to figure out a way to bend some rules and I always went along with him. How could you not love the guy? He made the office a better place to be. Im really going to miss him.
